Glamping in Zion National Park – luxury tents and wagons
Zion National Park is an incredible region and is super popular with visitors from across the world and it’s not hard to see why- incredible towering canyons, stunningly beautiful viewpoints and overlooks, jutting red rocks and lots of beautifully shaded areas for you to walk and enjoy the park.
And what’s better than to go Glamping in Zion National Park or in the nearby region – this is exactly what we did and can’t recommend it enough!
We stayed at Zion Glamping Adventures, but there’s quite a few places we’d recommend!
There’s so much to do in the area, whether that’s getting some e-bikes or renting some water gear to hike the narrows!
If you’re doing a road trip in Utah, it’s worth checking out my other nearby Utah posts, including Fort Zion, the best hiking routes in Zion, Dead Horse Point and The Rainbow Hills.

Quick Mini Guide To Zion
Don’t have a lot of time? Here’s a quick mini guide to Zion National Park.

Where to stay
- Under the Canvas Zion is my favourite
- Wildflower Zion is also great
Best time to go
It’s best to go in Spring or Autumn. The summer becomes very hot, so hike after 4pm.
Zion Entry Fee
$35 per vehicle up to 15 people.
Car rental
Public transport is limited so car rental is your best option. Consider getting a 4×4 for the dirt roads.
Best Tours
- The Zion Narrows Hike with Lunch
- Stargazing tour
- Off roading ATV sunset tour
- Helicopter Tour
- Angels Landing – likely to sell out though!
Before we start….
If you’re interested in doing a stargazing tour in Zion, I highly recommend it because this is something that we did and it was simply incredible . We’ve done numerous stargazing Tour on our travels and so far this is the best one we’ve ever done.
We were blessed with very clear skies and the stargazing tour was in a very remote area meeting. There was very little light pollution and this is in thanks to the dark night sky reserve meeting that light pollution is very limited.

Glamping at Zion National Park
Here are the top locations for glamping at Zion National Park. We stayed at Zion Glamping Adventures which is a little south of the park but it is right next to Water Canyon where you can hike some of the trails and no entry fee is required.
So if you’re looking to visit the region without spending too much money inside the actual park itself, there are a lot of trails you could do in the area free of charge.
If you’re looking for an experience like no other than make sure you Glamp at one of the mini glamping sites in and around Zion national park – choose from Glamp tents bubbled and many more in the region.
I particularly like Glamping because it gives you a real sense of the outdoors and at night the stargazing is simply incredible. You’re also likely to be able to sit around a bonfire and have some s’mores – what’s better than that?
Under the Canvas Zion
If you’re planning a trip to Zion, you’ve got to check out Under Canvas Zion. It’s an awesome place to stay, right in a red-rock canyon, so it blends perfectly with the stunning Southwest scenery. It’s on 196 acres right next to Zion National Park, so you’re super close to all the amazing trails and off-the-beaten-path adventures. The views of the red rocks and sandstone cliffs are unbelievable.

They did a big refresh in 2021, adding new outdoor patio areas, comfy and cosy furnishings, a premium espresso bar and of course, a private ensuite bathroom. The tents are upgraded too. Plus, they’re really eco-friendly— the whole place is solar-powered with energy from their own onsite solar array. You’re going to love it there!
It’s right on the border of Zion National Park, this site sits on 196 acres of breathtaking landscape, just 20 miles from the park’s main entrance and the quaint town of Springdale. You’ll find amazing trails and hidden gems just around the corner.
Some of the most incredible views you can hope for from your private deck.

Zion Glamping Adventures
We stayed at Zion National Park Glamping Adventures. It was definitely a super fun stay that was very rustic and in tune with the natural outdoors. I would say this is more rustic than luxury, so bear this in mind – but very fun!
This camping experience definitely throws you into the outdoors your right next to stream, beautiful canyons around you, nightly bonfires with smores
Provided, and in the morning the lovely staff are on hand to make fresh pancakes for everybody on the barbecue! The ultimate rustic glamping experience.

One thing I will emphasise is that the tents and rooms have AC. if you’re visiting in the summer this is absolutely mass because temperatures reach 40°C / 110°F and above and it would simply be unbearable without so this is something that kept our tents nice and cool and was generally a very fun and rustic stay.
Wagon Ride at zion glamping adventures
They also have a wagon ride which you can book into – the wagon ride is around an hour to an hour and a half and takes you around the local region and has a barbecue on board so guess can drink and cook and eat whilst taking the incredible views of the canyons nearby.

At Night
At night lights are all switched off and small solar panel lights line the walkways so there is very limited light pollution meaning the night sky is incredible and you can see literally thousands if not hundreds of thousands of stars.
The last thing I will note about Zion Glamping Adventures is that this is definitely a campsite so be prepared to enjoy the natural outdoors and some very authentic local and rustic experiences. It isn’t a fancy joint, so don’t expect spas or massages when you arrive.
Facilities on site
They have new facilities on site. You’ll be glad to know that in addition to AC in all of the tents there is also a shared kitchen area with two large fridges where you can store some of your food.
There are also barbecues where you can cook dinners after your days hike out at Zion , and free to use gas that’s already connected to all of the barbecues
In the shared outdoor kitchen area there is a sink with drinking water and an eating area. In addition to this, there is also a bonfire pit which seats easily around 20 people which is lit up every single night and most people will hang out and have some s’mores.
There are bathrooms and showers and they are are shared facilities amongst all the guests in the any camp site, unless you have booked one of the new rustic rooms – some of the hotel rooms have hot tubs as well, but these you’ll have to book separately.

Zion ponderosa
Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort is an amazing place to stay if you’re looking to explore Zion National Park. It’s located on the eastern edge of the park and has a number of different rooms for all kinds of travelers. Here’s a quick rundown:
- Accommodations: You can choose from cabins, vacation homes, glamping tents, RV sites, and traditional camping spots. There’s something for every budget and preference.
- Activities: The resort has tons of fun activities, like horseback riding, ATV tours, zip-lining, mini-golf, and swimming. Plus, you can hike or take guided tours to explore the beautiful surroundings.
- Dining: There’s an on-site restaurant that serves up delicious meals, so you don’t have to worry about cooking after a long day of adventure.
- Relaxation: After a day of exploring, you can relax in the hot tubs, enjoy a massage, or simply sit back and take in the stunning views.
- Convenience: The resort is super convenient for visiting Zion National Park, but it’s also a great base for exploring other nearby attractions like Bryce Canyon and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
zion Wildflower Resort
Zion Wildflower Glamping Resort is a fantastic place to stay if you want to experience the beauty of Zion National Park with a touch of luxury (or really, a lot of luxury).
They have some epic pioneer wagons, or a tonne of different rooms, tents and glamping pods for you to choose from – including family friendly options.

You can stay in stylish canvas tents, covered wagons, or cozy bungalows, each giving you the option of being at one with nature, but avoiding the rough rocky floor – swap that for a nice comfy bed.
The Wildflower resort is just minutes away from Zion National Park, making it a perfect base for all your adventures, I highly recommend doing the Narrows Tour!
The resort has a tonne of amenities including super comfy beds, air conditioning which lets be honest, is so necessary, private bathrooms, and outdoor seating areas. Depending on what you choose, you might have private fire pits and hot tubs. There’s plenty to do on-site, including hiking, stargazing, or to be honest, just rest after your day hiking at zion and having a s’more or two by the fire.

Zion White Bison resort & RV Park
For a fun western experience, stay in a Covered Wagon for the full luxury experience; inside each spacious wagon, you’ll have your own private getaway with temperature-controlled heat and A/C (so necessary in the winter and heat of the summer!), a private restroom, and super comfy beds.
Hang out with your loved ones together and cook your favorite meals with a personal BBQ or outdoor kitchen.
After your adventures, enjoy the vibrant starry night sky around a warm fire pit with some s’mores, or in some wagons, relax in your personal hot tub while taking in the breathtaking sunsets of Zion. A covered wagon camping adventure and experience the old Wild, Wild West with all the comforts of modern day life!

BaseCamp 37
You’ve got to check out Basecamp 37° if you’re planning a trip to Zion. It’s this awesome glamping spot just a short drive from the park, and it’s perfect for a unique and comfy outdoor experience.
The safari-style tents are super cool. They come with comfy beds, solar-powered lighting, and private decks. Each tent feels really cozy; it’s got that perfect mix of rustic charm and modern convenience, so you get to enjoy the desert’s beauty without giving up comfort.
The location is amazing, too. It’s in a secluded area with stunning views of the surrounding red canyons and wild bush. Evenings around the fire pit is everything!
Plus, it’s a great base for exploring not just Zion, but also Bryce Canyon and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
If you’re looking for a unique, memorable glamping experience with easy access to a bunch of Utah’s most iconic landscapes, it’s worth having a look Basecamp 37°. You won’t regret it!
