Kent is also known as The Garden of England, and has been for centuries now and is officially one of the home counties; one of the surrounding areas of greenery to London. Indeed, it actually has huge areas of wildlife it has been awarded an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is a great place to stay.
Why not choose super unique stays? You’ve got stately homes with tennis courts, cottages with panoramic views, luxury hotels with your own private hot tub. And if that wasn’t enough, you’ve got plenty of historic towns to explore.
Kent’s coast is also a sight worth seeing. Imo, there’s nothing more beautiful than some of these cliffs in the south of England. Stunning places for iconic photographs, walks on the beach, exploring cottages and ruins from times gone by. And it’s perfect for both short breaks or long holidays away, Kent has it all!
In regards to days out, there are plenty of famous landmarks you might want to visit Hever Castle, Leeds Castle & Canterbury Cathedral, Albion House and Charles dickens’ House (Dickens House Museum). It’s also worth visiting the iconic white cliffs of Dover, there’s something utterly special about seeing this ideal spot.

Honestly, need I say more? Probably not. Look at this property, it’s a stunner! Get yourself into the Magical Forest Yurt in the Garden of England for the night of your dreams.
Definitely a top pick for a quirky and one of the best quirky places to stay in Kent! Not far from Canterbury and Canterbury Cathedral if you’re looking for a day out.

Did you know you can actually stay at Hever Castle?! This has got to be one of the best hotels and certainly one of the most unique places you can stay in. This is history at its finest.
I love visiting Hever, it’s the home of Anne Boleyn– yes, the famous Anne Boleyn who married King Henry VIII of England. The one who had her head chopped off. The one in all the history books.
Besides that gruesome history, it’s actually a wonderful place to stay, and you;ll have spectacular views of the castle grounds. A wonderful place to explore.

This cute property is bursting with character. It’s the perfect spot for star gazing underneath sturdy oak trees and enjoy the great 4. outdoors.
Could this cabin be any more adorable? This is one of my favourite picks, for its quaint charm, the nearby cute village of Maidstone and breath-taking views.
The perfect little spot for a cosy getaway. And you’ll be spoilt for choice with the nearby restaurants too; you’ve got plenty of fine dining restaurants and pubs to choose from, or if you like a smashing takeaway, then your best bet is clearly the local fish n chips shops.

Jungle Cabin Hot tub

This is a really unique and quirky cabin. Don’t ask me how, but this place really looks like it’s set in a jungle. This unique wooden cabin is surrounded by lush palm trees and ferns, perfect for a romantic break.
For me, the best part of staying in a log cabin with a hot tub is the privacy and seclusion that’s offered. You can enjoy a romantic retreat with your SO (significant other), or you can gather your friends and family for a relaxing break.
Either way, you’ll have your own private hot tub to soak in and enjoy some well-deserved downtime at the Jungle Cabin.

The Thatchie

Yes, you guessed it. A thatched home you can stay in… with a hot tub! One of the best quintessentially English fun places to stay in Kent! It has free WiFi, and comes with a flat-screen TV and a kitchen with a fridge and oven.
Super adorable, the perfect place to unwind in this cosy log cabin. This cosy, rustic barn has been converted to a little place to stay with incredible views over the countryside & English channel tunnel.
A place to relax and enjoy nature with pretty, quaint towns and villages nearby, including Deal and Sandwich. Enjoy the peace, tranquillity, sunsets and stars.
Definitely one of the more quintessentially English places to stay in Kent!

This charming log cabin is one of my favourites, thanks to it’s ultra stylish guest rooms, cosy interiors and comfortable double bed, you’ll feel like all the best things in life are coming your way. A great option for a weekend away.

Gooseberry glamping is the perfect way to get out in nature whilst still enjoying modern day comforts. A cute garden and a terrace, Gooseberry Glamping is situated in Saint Nicholas at Wade, within 9.3 miles of Granville Theatre and 10.6 miles of Sandwich Railway Station.
One of the reasons I love staying in log cabins or cottages with a hot tub is because they’re often located in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Kent has everything; the White Cliffs of Dover, the greenery of surrounding countryside, the endless sandy beaches and coastal piers to visit.
The south-east of England is one of the home counties, and super to London and so easy to do on a weekend trip or even a week away. The ideal place to unwind and reconnect with nature 🙂

This unique building is near Maidstone and leeds castle, which you will absolutely need to stop at and visit. It is the perfect day out; Maidstone is filled with the cutest cottages and Leeds castle is steeped in history, the perfect place to stop for a cup of tea at their teashop too.
A very quaint and one of the more places to stay in Kent.

The Old Apple Shed
It’s worth having a little look at the Old Apple Shed for its raw charm, vintage radios and weathered books, it’s definitely one of the more unusual places. It’s well worth a stay, it’s a quaint apple shed that is one of those wonderful places for a romantic getaway!

These cottages are so beautifully picturesque, situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is set by a small lake where you can listen to the birdsong from your hot tub. The properties are just a stone’s throw away from the quaint village of Badlesmere.
The cottages and log cabins I’ve stayed in have all been just a wonderful time to unwind, go hiking and even have a get together with friends! From king-size beds and double beds to bunk beds and sofa beds, there’s something to suit every group size and budget.
And with en-suite shower rooms, ground floor access, underfloor heating, open plan living areas with French doors and garden furniture, as well as Smart TVs and email updates, you can enjoy all the comforts of home while on holiday.
Definitely the right choice for unusual places to stay in Kent!

Hempstead House Hotel

Country house hotels are almost a guarantee for luxurious four-poster beds. I’m actually writing this from a four-poster bed right now and I gotta tell you – it’s every bit of special as it seems. The beds tend to be huge too, a massive king size bed.
The surrounding area MUST be explored too; the market towns, the local coffee shop, the fine dining restaurant is a must. Must be nice living like a King and Queen with your own en-suite bathroom. Check out some of the local afternoon tea in town, too!

The Duke William
This is the ultimate perfect accommodation! It”s a super quirkly 4 star inn – one of the true great historical buildings – which offers fun evening entertainment and barbeque facilities.
Can’t go wrong with this one, based in Littlebourne, Kent. Littlebourne has some of the best beaches in the area, a variety of restaurants to eat out at and one of the great renowned coastal towns, so nip down to the beach for a swim if it’s warm enough – it’s only a short drive away.
There’s plenty to choose from here, whether you’re looking for a railway carriage, a double decker bus or a cosy inn, a sleeping bag or a king size bed, you’ve got it all in Kent! Consider googling the prison cell accommodation if you’re brave enough!
